Dance is an incredible, healthy, and invigorating release of energy. Students will learn Poi and Silk fan dancing under Co-founder Katka Scott. Poi is a form of dance, where weights on the ends of tethers are swung through rhythmical patterns. They can be decorative, light up, or be engulfed in flames. Poi originated in New Zealand and was used by Maori warriors to increase proprioception & body awareness, and used by Maori women to train gracefulness. The Movement School also offers other forms of Dance including Silk Fans, Ecstatic, and Expressive.
